Catherine

Praised for her warm, crystal-clear tone and expressive vocal artistry,  Catherine Larson is a rising soprano based in Chicago, IL. With a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from North Park University and a Bachelor of Music from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, Catherine has quickly established herself as a dedicated and versatile performer across genres, from opera to sacred music. Her artistry is combined with a commitment to storytelling, bringing both emotional depth and vocal clarity to each performance. Among her notable opera roles are the Soldier in Jerre Dye and Zach Redler’s The Falling and the Rising (2022) and Terra in Michael J. Polo’s international premiere of Pluto in Vienna Summer Music Festival. A frequent presence on the concert stage, she most recently performed as the soprano soloist in Kim André Arnesen’s Magnificat. A seasoned choral artist, Catherine has contributed her talents as a soprano in esteemed ensembles such as Music of the Baroque and the Grant Park Supplemental Chorus (2024) as well as with community ensembles like the Edgewater Singers, emphasizing her dedication to community-based choral arts. Her talent has been recognized through numerous accolades, including a feature in the Classical Singers Magazine (2023) and a finalist in North Shore Choral Society’s Donald Chen Young Artist Competition (2022). Currently, she performs regionally as a solo and choral artist and sings with the Schola Cantorum at the distinguished Holy Name Cathedral. In addition to her performance career, Catherine is an active educator at a studio, where she is dedicated to nurturing musicians of all levels. She continues to pursue opportunities that expand her artistry with a strong passion for expressive and meaningful storytelling through music..
